Poll Status

Open Polls

A poll which has begun and is live, permitting Voters to cast their vote.

Under Set-Up

A poll which has being set up and not yet published. Organizer can make any change in the Poll while it is in Under Set-Up Status.

Upcoming Poll

A Poll which is Published but not started as the scheduled start time of the Poll is not crossed. The Voter will have to login after the Poll Start Time in order to place their vote.

Closed Poll

A Poll which has ended as it has crossed its end time. Voters will not be able to access this Poll in order to place their vote.

Cancelled Poll
A Poll which is cancelled before the scheduled end time.
Assign Role
Organiser can assign Roles to individuals for a specific Poll. Some of the Roles being that of Support, Observer and Scrutinizer.

Role Management

Organiser Role
Organiser role, is the individual who is creating and conducting the Poll. Organiser will have the permission to create the Poll, add Poll details, Matters, Voter List and details when the Poll is under Set-Up status. Organizer can generate Poll Result once the Poll ends.
Voter Role
Voter role will not have any permission to create a poll, he has the only role to vote in the poll he is required to vote.
Scrutinizer Role
Scrutinizer has the role to monitor the Poll in order to ensure all norms are met. He may at times have the authority to unlock the Poll result instead of the Organiser.
Observer Role
Observer role will not have permission either to edit the Poll or vote in the Poll. His only role is to observe the poll. If this feature is not ‘ENABLED’, the Voter is not required to create an account or login to cast their vote. They will be sent a direct voting link to their registered contact details through email and sms that will take them directly the Voting Screen. This feature can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status.
Assign Role
Organiser can assign Roles to individuals for a specific Poll. Some of the Roles being that of Support, Observer and Scrutinizer.

Basic Poll Set Up

Title of Poll
It is the name of the poll which is created.
Description of Poll
It is a brief description of the Poll. This will help Voters to get a better understanding at the time of casting their Vote.
Start Date & Time
It is the date and time at which the Poll starts.
End Date & Time
It is the date and time at which the Poll ends. If this feature is not ‘ENABLED’, the Voter is not required to create an account or login to cast their vote. They will be sent a direct voting link to their registered contact details through email and sms that will take them directly the Voting Screen. This feature can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status.
Alert Date & Time
It is date and time at which a notification is sent automatically to the Voter to alert him of the start of the Poll. It is sent via email or text message. By default, Alert time is set for 10 minutes before the Start time of the Poll, but can be edited by the Organizer.
Resolutions/ Questions
The Resolutions for which the Organizers requires the voters to cast their vote.
Resolution Description
Description of the Resolutions for Vote. This is to give a clear understanding to the Voter with regards to any instruction with regards to that specific Resolution.
Required Voting Share
Minimum weightage/ vote share required for Resolution to be passed.
Voter Bulk Upload Template
It is the approved format in which the Organizer can add multiple Voters at one time. The Organiser is required to download the template, update the fields and upload the template.
Weightage of Voter
The percentage of the voting share of a voter.
No. Of Voters
Total Number of Voters that the Organizer has added for that specific Poll. If this feature is not ‘ENABLED’, the Voter is not required to create an account or login to cast their vote. They will be sent a direct voting link to their registered contact details through email and sms that will take them directly the Voting Screen. This feature can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status.
The maximum number of Voters that an Organizer can add to that specific Poll, based on which the invoice has been raised. If the ‘No. of Voters’ exceeds the ‘Paid Voters’, the Organizer will be required to make necessary additional payment.
Billing Address
The Address of the person/ organisation on whom the invoice is to be raised.
Shipping Address
The Address to which the Invoice raised is to be sent.

Additional Features

Show Result with Voters
This can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status. If ‘Enabled’ – the Result Report will display number of votes received for each Vote Option along with the details of those voters who have voted for that Option. If not ‘Enabled’ – the Result Report will only display number of votes received for each Vote Option NOT voter details.
Show Organiser Detail
This feature can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status. If ‘ENABLED’ – information about the Organiser will be displayed to the Voters on the Voting Screen. If not ‘ENABLED’ – information about the Organiser will not be displayed to the Voters on the Voting Screen.
Unlock Result by Scrutinizer
This feature can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status. If ‘ENABLED’ – only the Scrutinizer is authorized to unlock/ open the Poll result. If not ‘ENABLED’ – the authorized person can unlock/open the Poll result.
Enforce Sign Up to Vote
This feature requires the Voter to cast their vote by creating an account and signing up into the TRUSTeVote application. If the feature is ‘ENABLED’, the Voter will have to Sign-up in order to cast their vote. A link to the application login will be mailed to the Voter.

If this feature is not ‘ENABLED’, the Voter is not required to create an account or login to cast their vote. They will be sent a direct voting link to their registered contact details through email and sms that will take them directly the Voting Screen.

This feature can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status.
Allow Recast
Allow Recast feature permits Voters to recast their vote any number of times even after they have cast their vote. This can be done till the Poll ends, but at each stage the Vote should be confirmed. This can be enabled by Organiser only when the Poll is in ‘Set-Up’ Status. If ‘ENABLED’ – Voter can recast their vote. If not ‘ENABLED’ – Voter can cast vote only ‘ONCE’ and cannot recast their vote.
Confirm Vote with OTP
This feature if enabled, requires the Voter to confirm and register their vote with a One Time Password (OTP) that would be sent to their registered email or phone number. The Organizer is can enable this feature any tiVme before the Poll is published.
Question Shuffling
This feature changes the order of the questions/resolutions of the Poll on a random basis for every Voter.
